Staff Changes

We are sad to announce that Dr Richard Adams is no longer working with Talybont Surgery and Dr Andrew McKnight will also be leaving us at the end of November. We wish them both all the best for the future and know they will be missed by both staff and patients. However we have had a few new GPs starting with us: Dr Emmanuel Izuagba, Dr Jenna Jones, Dr Ziad Shaban, Dr Simon Georges and Dr Elliot Raymond-Taggert. Dr Emmanuel Izuagba and Dr Elliot Raymond-Taggert were previously training with us, so it is great to welcome them back with a permanent position.

Marie Curie Visit

We are proud to announce that the staff and patients raised £104.16 on that last Marie Curie visit. If you missed them last time, they will be back on Wednesday 8th November.

Macmillan Cake Week

The staff at Talybont Surgery raised a brilliant £146 for the charity and enjoyed a week of baking and eating cake.

Flu and Covid

We are still taking bookings for patients over 65 or with an underlying health condition for the flu vaccines. The health board are arranging covid vaccines for the surgery, we are unable to take bookings for this ourselves.

Prescriptions Line

The prescriptions line is now open all day so there is no need to phone between 8:30 and 11:30. Please remember this is for acute prescription queries which will take three working days. Repeat requests should be put through the letterbox or ordered through My Health Online, which both take three working days.
With the holidays approaching, please remember to order your December prescriptions in time for Christmas.

Review

All staff across the surgery work extremely hard to help you. If you have had a positive experience, then please leave us a review on Facebook or Google. We do also have a suggestions box in the waiting area where patients can leave anonymous feedback or suggestions on improvements for the surgery.

Healthy Habits

We know that addictions are extremely difficult to get on top of, but as a surgery we want to encourage a healthy lifestyle. Please follow the links if you would like any help with reducing your smoking or alcohol intake.
