Salaried GP

Job Summary

We are looking to recruit a Salaried GP to join our dedicated, knowledgeable, and friendly team. We are looking for an applicant to work four to six sessions.

  • Wage: £11,000 per session
  • Working Hours: Four to six sessions, TBC with the individual. The applicant will be expected to work Monday to Friday on days mutually agreed and between the hours of 8am to 6:30pm.

About Us

We are a GP Practice in Pontarddulais with approximately 10,000 patients. The team consists of 2 GP Partners, 1 Pharmacist Partner, 5 Salaried GPs, 1 Salaried Pharmacist, 3 Nurses, a Healthcare Assistant, and an Advanced Prescribing Clerk as well as our Reception and Admin teams. We are a friendly practice that is dedicated to continuous progression and improvement.

We are a training practice hosting training for GPs, Pharmacists, Undergraduate Medicine and Pharmacy students, and Physician Associate students. This willingness to train is reflected in our staff; we always support our team in learning new skills and progressing.

We currently use Vison as our clinical system, however, this is likely to change to EMIS later in the year. System training can be provided.

Job Description

The post holder will be working under the supervision of our two experienced GP Partners who will be able to provide guidance and any support necessary to ensure you are confident in your role and patients receive the best care possible. You will have pre-booked triage appointments and on-the-day emergency appointments, should you wish to follow any patients up you will take responsibility for their continuation of care. Should you wish to develop a specialist clinic, this can be mutually agreed with the practice and you would be fully supported in taking this forward.

You will be working within clear guidelines and appropriate training for the role will be given as well as mentoring sessions. It is expected that you will have a caring attitude towards patients and work will be conducted in a professional manner.

Main Duties:

The main duties of the role are to provide excellent patient care to those who are unwell. Any specialist clinics or interests can be discussed with the applicant.

Person Specification

Experience and Knowledge

Essential:

  • General IT skills such as Outlook and basic computer use
  • GMC registration

Desirable:

  • Experience as a qualified GP in primary care
  • Experience using the Vision clinical system
