Flu Vaccines Available

 

With all the hot weather recently, we know it seems a little early to be talking about flu vaccines, but winter is fast approaching! If you are 65 or over, live with an immunocompromised person, are pregnant, a carer, homeless, work with cows/pigs/chickens or have one of the below health conditions, get yourself booked in!

  • Problems with your chest or breathing. This includes chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or asthma, that need regular steroid inhalers or tablets
  • A heart problem
  • Kidney disease (from stage 3)
  • Liver disease
  • Nerve conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease or motor neurone disease
  • A learning disability
  • Severe mental illness
  • Diabetes
  • Adrenal insufficiency, such as Addison’s disease
  • Epilepsy
  • A weak immune system due to illness or treatment
  • A missing spleen or a problem with your spleen
  • Very overweight. This is a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or more and aged 16 or over.

How to book

Appointments are available from October (September for 2/3 year olds and pregnant people). By booking an appointment, you are consenting to receive the flu vaccine. If you would like to discuss it more with a Doctor or Pharmacist, contact us on Accurx before booking in
